WELCOME

A lot has happened since the last ScriptJournal… The dreaded strike has ended… No Country for Old Men now has a little golden statue… And the 2007-2008 TV season, despite the end of the strike, has been stuck with a proverbial fork, forcing fans of such shows as Pushing Daisies, Heroes, and 24 to wait a whole spring and summer for new episodes.
ScriptShark and Final Draft’s Out of the Computer/Into the Industry seminar returned to New York for an exciting day of industry exploration with a fantastic audience and an esteemed panel, made of industry writers, producers, and reps. We are now excitedly preparing the seminar for its Chicago outing scheduled for May 3, 2008.
Despite the expectation that the post-strike industry will be flooded with new material from reputable (or at least repped) writers, things seem to be moving slower than usual. So now may very well be the perfect time to hone your script, focus your material, and get your unique, original voice out there…
